One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, probably Pennsylvania origin, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with heavily-tooled rim molding, decorated around the body with three vertical tulip motifs. Brushed stripe decoration at spout and foliate motifs on each side of the collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Very nice condition with a narrow rim chip, a small spout chip, a few minor base chips, and a small in-the-firing contact mark to side.
