Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Shield Motif, Stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON / & CO. / GREENSBORO. / PA.", circa 1875, tapered jar with semi-rounded wax sealer rim, featuring a crisply-stenciled design of a shield surrounding James Hamilton maker's stenciling. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8".
