Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Bottles, Northeastern U.S. origin, third quarter 19th century, one with heavy cobalt decoration to spout and neck, impressed "H. YOUNG", the other with cobalt-highlighted spout, impressed "P. MANSFIELD and "ROOT BEER". Young bottle in very nice condition with two tiny nicks and a very small U-shaped line to spout as well as minor base wear. Mansfield bottle with small spout chips on reverse.
