Six-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Stenciled "A.P. DONAGHHO / Parkersburg, W. Va.", circa 1875, cylindrical churn with flared collar and applied lug handles, decorated with the stenciled signature of Alexander P. Donaghho above a band of geometric stenciling and the number "6" with elaborate border. Staining to base, primarily on reverse. Chipping to molding at base of collar. A minor nick to left handle. A 3 1/2" horizontal in-the-firing separation at base. Underside is recessed. Some faint surface lines on right side of churn. A minor nick on interior of rim. H 19 1/2".
