Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "A. CONRAD / NEW GENEVA / PA.", circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded wax sealer rim, featuring stenciled flourishes above and below Alexander Conrad maker's stenciling, along with a bright freehand stripe below the rim. A 3/4" stone ping to reverse. A 3 1/2" hairline on underside, extending 1 1/4" up base of jar. Some wear to surface. A tiny nick on interior of rim. H 8".
