One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Incised Bird Decoration, New York State origin, circa 1825, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with an incised design of a bird with large circular eye and stylized feather detail. An additional partially-incised bird appears to its right. Essentially as-made condition with a stone ping on reverse. Shallow chipping around base on reverse.
