Glazed Redware Canning Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL", Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, cylindrical form with rounded shoulder and flared rim, the surface covered in a clear lead glaze over a yellow ground. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark at shoulder. Six short surface lines at base, not visible on the interior and possibly in-the-firing. Three small rim chips. H 7".
