Three Glazed Pottery Spittoons, American, mid 19th century, two flint enamel spittoons, both stamped on underside "Lyman Fenton & Co. / Fenton's ENAMEL PATENTED 1849. / BENNINGTON, Vt,", one of which additionally includes the impressed initials "THE". Together with a Rockingham-glazed spittoon with undecipherable maker's plaque on underside. One flint enamel spittoon with a thin crack from central hole. Other flint enamel spittoon with light maker's mark, significant cracks to top surface, some small chips, and small flakes to underside. Rockingham spittoon with a chip to rim including a horizontal hairline extending through it, large shallow chips to underside, a small base chip, a large X-shaped hairline in underside, and minor wear to opening at shoulder. H (of flint enamel spittoons) 4" ; Diameter (of flint enamel spittoons) 8".
