Early Stoneware Jug with Impressed Fish Decoration, attributed to Jonathan Fenton, Boston, MA, late 18th century, highly ovoid jug with tooled shoulder, decorated with a large impressed and cobalt-highlighted design of a fish with detailed body. Excellent form and desirable Fenton motif. Restored handle. Several cracks to left side of jug. Additional cracks in spout and shoulder on front of jug. H 13 1/2".
