Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1860, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with two brushed drooping floral motifs. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals along with a wavy line of cobalt underneath each handle. One rim chip. A 2 3/4" X-shaped line on one side, a 1 3/4" line on same side, a 3" Y-shaped line on reverse, a 2 1/2" X-shaped line under one handle,
