Two Cobalt-Stenciled Advertising Jars, attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1880, a small-sized jar with flared rim, stenciled "Chas. H. Torsch & Co. / Baltimore, Md.", paired with a one-gallon jar, stenciled "E.B. TAYLOR / Richmond, Va.". Torsch jar includes a period inscription on underside, "R. / 16", painted in very light cobalt slip or ink. Torsch jar with rim chips, otherwise excellent condition. Taylor jar in excellent condition with some traces of old green paint and other residue to surface. H (of Torsch jar) 8 5/8".
