Two New York City Stoneware Druggist's Jars, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1845, a cylindrical jar with flared rim and cobalt foliate decoration, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising "HOADLEY PHELPS & CO. / DRUGGISTS. / NO. 142 WATER ST. NEW YORK", attributed to T.G. Boone, Brooklyn, NY; paired with an Albany-slip-glazed jar of similar form, impressed "J. MILHAU DRUGGIST / 183 BROADWAY N-Y". Hoadley Phelps & Co. jar with rim chips, a minor base nick, a chip to the name "PHELPS", and minor surface wear. Milhau jar with rim and base chips.
