Rare One-Quart Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "C. CROLIUS, / MANUFACTURER, / NEW-YORK", circa 1815, diminutive, squat-shaped jug with heavily-tooled spout, decorated with brushed swags below the Crolius maker's mark. Exceptional size and highly unusual form. Restored handle and some restoration to spout. In-the-firing crazing to surface. An in-the-firing contact mark / chip to shoulder. H 6 1/4".
