Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BROWN. BROTHERS / HUNTINGTON L.I.", New York State origin, circa 1863-1870, ovoid jug with tapered spout decorated with two large brushed tulips. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. A small area of restoration at base on reverse. A minor nick and small glazed-over chip on interior of spout.
