Large-Sized Redware Bowl, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'", PA origin, circa 1850-1880, with tapered body and beaded Hagerstown-style rim, the interior decorated with sponged manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark on shoulder. An approximately 4 3/4" Y-shaped crack from rim. Glazed interior with a few minor flakes to wall. Additional circular band of wear to interior base. H 5 3/4" ; Diam. 13".
