Octagonal Glazed Redware Pitcher, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'", PA origin, circa 1850-1880, molded pitcher composed of eight sides with ornate spurred handle, the surface decorated with manganese sponging over a yellow ground and covered in a clear lead glaze. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. Significant restoration to spout. Some typical light surface wear. A short glazed-over line to base. H 9 1/4".
