Rare Presentation Stoneware Harvest Jug with Branch-Form Handle, Inscribed "I.C. Ball. / N.Y.P. & O.R.R. / Galion. Ohio.", attributed to A.H. Rhodenbaugh, Middlebury, Ohio, circa 1855-1870, with brown-glazed, branch-form handle featuring molded acorns and roots at each terminal, the jug's surface covered in a yellowish-brown glaze and sgraffito-decorated with a floral motif and the presentation inscription for a railroad worker, "I.C. Ball. / N.Y.P. & O.R.R. / Galion, Ohio.". Loss to narrow spout. Small flakes to surface. Flakes to underside. Some flecks of old silver paint to surface. H (to top of handle) 10 3/4".
