Stoneware Wax Sealer with Stenciled Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder flared wax sealer rim, decorated in cobalt with a finely-stenciled flowering plant motif between two freehand stripes. Excellent condition with a shallow chip on interior of rim. H 8 1/8".
