Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Double-Bird Decoration, Stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO. / FORT EDWARD, NY", circa 1880, large-sized, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of crossed birds with heavily-shaped bodies. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: David Musser Collection. Significant restoration to most of crock's surface and underside, not affecting decoration.
