One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, footed base, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a split-stemmed floral design. Additional wavy brushwork to the shoulder. Stylized drape decoration under each handle. Cobalt highlights to the handle terminals. Several chips to interior of rim. Otherwise excellent, essentially as-made condition.
