One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F. B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS.", circa 1870, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested parrot perched on a leaf. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Desirable size with excellent color. Provenance: David Musser Colllection. As-made condition with a glazed-over iron ping near base and a small glazed-over spout nick.
