Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Stamped "P. HERRMANN", Baltimore, MD, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed two-stemmed clover motif. A 3" hairline at base, extending across underside. A few in-the-firing contact marks and an iron ping.
