One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON. / BENNINGTON VT", circa 1855, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed floral design of a circular blossom and dotted trails. Light cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with minor wear to midsection and minor in-the-firing flaws including a small flake to shoulder.
