Three Stoneware Bottles with New Jersey Advertising, Northeastern U.S. origin, 19th century, one with cobalt-highlighted spout and advertising for "TIFFANY & ALLEN / PATERSON NJ", a second with cobalt-highlighted spout and cobalt stripe around neck, impressed with the maker's mark "BRADY & RYAN / ELLENVILLE, N.Y." and the advertising "TIFFANY & ALLEN / PATERSON. N.J."; and a small salt-glazed bottle, stamped "W. HOUGH'S / J. CITY.". Paterson bottle with discoloration to body and a nick to interior of spout and shoulder. Paterson bottle with striped neck has a rough in-the-firing contact mark to top of spout, heavy salting to base, and in-the-firing residue to underside. Hough's bottle with two large adjacent base chips, other smaller base chips, and a spider crack with two flakes on front. H (of Hough's bottle) 6 3/4".
