Two Pieces of Canadian Stoneware, second half 19th century, a five-gallon jug with elaborate brushed floral decoration featuring scrolled stems and blossoms, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising "E FISK / MARCHAND / D'EPICERIES VINS ET LIQUERS / EN GROS ET EN DETAIL / JOLIETTE"; paired with a four-gallon cream jar with cobalt floral decoration, stamped W.E. WELDING / BRANTFORD, ONT.". Jug with significant glaze wear to handle and shoulder on reverse, as well as some wear to front, as well as spout chips. Jar with staining to surface, a 3" Y-shaped hairline to shoulder on reverse, a tight 7" fork-shaped line on underside, a 4 1/2" horizontal line at base on reverse, and a nick to one handle.
