Two Norton Family Stoneware Crocks, Bennington, VT origin, fourth quarter 19th century, a one-and-a-half-gallon crock with cobalt spotted leaf decoration, stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT," paired with a three-gallon crock with cobalt spotted leaf decoration, stamped "E NORTON & CO / BENNINGTON, VT.". Smaller crock with some fry to cobalt, a 7/8" hairline and chip from rim on side of jar, a 1" flake to interior of rim, a faint line to shoulder, a tight surface line to underside (not visible on interior), and a tiny nick to interior of rim. Larger crock with exfoliation to base and shoulder area, as well as a tiny nick and faint line to one handle.
