One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Stephen B. Sweeney, Henrico County, VA, circa 1838-1863, ovoid jar with applied lug handles and squared rim, decorated on the front and reverse with a fern-shaped foliate design. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. One handle restored. A 1 1/4" chip to side of rim. Restored rim chips.
