Rare Pint-Sized Stoneware Jar with Cobalt-Painted Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BELL", Waynesboro, PA, circa, 1840-1880, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder, squared rim, and salt-glazed surface, decorated with a later painted design of a town scene with church, trees, and two other buildings. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark on shoulder. Desirable small size. Some thin lines to rim and shoulder area, possibly in-the-firing. H 4 1/2".
