One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Stenciled Cobalt Shaking Hands Decoration, attributed to Somerset Potters Works, Somerset, MA, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a crisply-stenciled design of two shaking hands with well-detailed shirt cuffs. Excellent condition with two short and very faint surface lines at base (not visible on interior), a few very minor chips on interior of rim, and some discoloration to surface.
