Outstanding Ten-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Fruit Decoration, Ohio origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and open strap handles, decorated with a boldly-brushed design of a stem bearing leaves and circular fruit with spotted borders. Excellent size, form, and decoration. Impressed with a large "X" on reverse. Excellent condition with some staining to reverse. H 20".
