Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "ORCUTT. HUMISTON & CO / TROY", New York State origin, circa 1828-1829, highly-ovoid jug with tooled spout and heavily-ribbed handle, decorated with a large brushed tulip with looping stem. Brushed cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing chip / contact mark to reverse.
