One-Quart Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Southeastern PA origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with five groups of stylized cobalt leaves or flowers around its circumference. A small rim chip. Y-shaped line at shoulder descending body of jar onto underside, where it forms a second Y. An additional short line at base, which extends a short distance onto underside. H 7".
