Rare Yellowwware Spittoon, Stamped "AMERICAN POTTERY CO. / JERSEY CITY, N.J.", circa 1833-1850, molded, octagonal spittoon, decorated on each panel with variety of floral motifs incorporating sunflowers and daisies. American Pottery Co. maker's mark on underside. Shallow chips to underside. A 3" hairline emanating from the hole on top surface. Some minor surface nicks. H 4 3/4" ; Length 8 1/4".
