Half-Gallon Stoneware Crock with WINE & TEA DEALERS Advertising, New York State origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with flattened rim and applied lug handles, decorated with the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising "ACKER MERRELL & CO / GROCERS / WINE & TEA DEALERS / 322 CHAMBER ST COR COLLEGE PLACE / NEW YORK". Interior of rim with a shallow 1 1/4" chip beside a small chip. A short hairline on underside, which continues up base on reverse, where it forms a 2 1/4" Y. Some staining.
