Unusual Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Swan Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flared collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with a folky brushed design of a swimming swan on stylized water. Cobalt highlight to capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
