Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Stenciled Cobalt Tiger Decoration, Stamped "F.T. WRIGHT & SON / STONE-WARE / TAUNTON, MASS.," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a finely-stenciled design of a tiger's bust with circular border. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Faint 3" fork-shaped hairline to front. A few rim chips. Ink notation on underside.
