Rare Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware B & O Railroad Pitcher, probably Midwestern origin, late 19th century, stump-form pitcher with upswept spout and twig handle, embellished with an impressed screw-head terminal. Surface decorated with the applied letters, "B & O", representing the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, and is further decorated with applied knots, sawed limbs, a star, a nut cluster, a flower, and a wreath. Excellent condition with a tiny spout chip and minuscule spout nick, a chip to one sawed limb, and some other very minor wear. H 8 7/8".
