Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "RICHEY & HAMILTON. / PALATINE. W. VA.," circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded wax sealer rim, the jar's front decorated with two freehand stripes above Richey & Hamilton maker's stenciling within a banner. Some wear to cobalt stenciling. Otherwise excellent condition. H 10".
