Scarce Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "JOHN P. EBERHART / & CO. / NEW GENEVA. / FAYETTE CO. / PA.," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring elaborate John Eberhart maker's stenciling, various stenciled flourishes, and a stenciled "2" at base. Very nice condition. Some light wear to cobalt. Wear to interior edge of rim and inner rim, where a lid would rest.
