One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BROWN & BROS / HUNTINGTON. L.I.," New York State origin, circa 1863-1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt tulip. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Excellent condition with a minor rim chip on reverse, some staining, and an in-the-firing nick to interior of rim.
