Unusual One-Quart Stoneware Advertising Jug, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising "JOHN F O'HARA / WHOLESALE & RETAIL GROCER / CATHEDRAL & BIDDLE STS / BALTIMORE". Excellent size. Large in-the-firing dry contact mark to right side of jug's front. Two minor base chips, one of which is glazed-over. H 7 3/4".
