One-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "PFALTZGRAFF & CO. / YORK, PA," circa 1855-1880, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a large brushed tulip design. The font of the maker's mark implies this jar was made by John Pfaltzgraff, although the "J.B." is not visible in this impression. Several rim chips. 1" hairline from rim on reverse. Small iron ping to body. Some light fry to cobalt.
