Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Impressed Floral Decoration, Massachusetts origin, early 19th century, narrow jug with ovoid midsection and tooled shoulder, decorated with an impressed design of a flower with detailed blossom and scalloped leaves. Cobalt highlights to impressed decoration and handle terminals. Excellent condition with a base chip and typical in-the-firing contact marks to surface.
