Rare Rockingham Pottery Spittoon, Stamped "BROCKVILLE POTTING COMPANY, NEAR POTTSVILLE. SCH'L CO. PENNA.," Pennsylvania origin, second half 19th century, molded spittoon with scalloped base and relief archway design, the surface decorated with a mottled reddish-brown glaze over a yellow ground. Rare Brockville Potting Company maker's mark on underside. Loss to opening in top surface. A hairline to top surface. Base chips and some surface chips. H 4 1/4" ; Diameter 9".
