Rare Rockingham-Glazed Double-Frog Presentation Pitcher, Embossed "W.J DENSLOW," attributed to the Swan Hill Pottery, South Amboy, New Jersey, 19th century, molded pitcher with relief hunt scene, twig handle, and the applied name "W.J DENSLOW," the surface covered in a streaky brownish glaze over a cream-colored ground. Interior with two molded and applied frog, one at base, and one attempting to climb up the side of the pitcher, both covered in streaky blue and brown glazes. The use of two applied frogs makes this example more unusual than most Swan Hill presentation pitchers. One frog missing head / torso. Pitcher in otherwise excellent condition. H 9 1/2".
