Two Pieces of Stoneware, American, fourth quarter 19th century and early 20th century, a large stoneware lid with cobalt swag decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875; paired with a Bristol-slip-glazed crock with advertising for "H.J. HEINZ CO. / KEYSTONE PICKLING & PRESERVING WORKS / PITTSBURGH, U.S.A." within a blue insignia. Heinz crock with firing flaw at base, a few chips, and an X-shaped hairline at base on reverse, measuring 4" vertically from base of crock, and continuing a few inches onto underside. Diameter (of lid) 12 3/4".
