Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Bottle, Inscribed "J.C.," Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, cylindrical bottle with tapered neck and angled spout, decorated with the slip-trailed initials "J.C." with spotted interior. In-the-firing base chip. A small chip to bottom edge of spout. A small amount of in-the-firing clay residue to top of spout. H 10 1/4".
