Fine Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Bold Cobalt Flower Blossom Decoration, Stamped "J.H. DIPPLE / LEWISTOWN," Pennsylvania origin, circa 1890, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a heavily-brushed flower blossom or sunburst design, accented at the corners with foliate brushwork. One of the finest examples of Lewistown stoneware we have ever offered. Excellent condition with a small base chip and minor iron ping to shoulder.
