Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1835, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and squared rim, decorated with a brushed horizontal tulip design around the shoulder. Strong decoration with excellent color. Y-shaped hairline on underside, continuing a few inches onto base in two places, forming a Y at base on one side, and a vertical line at base on another side. Rim chips. A few base chips. An in-the-firing separation on interior of rim, not visible on exterior.
