One-Quart Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Decoration, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, decorated around the body with brushed cobalt swags. Desirable size. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a small in-the-firing contact mark to shoulder. H 6 1/2".
